2005 D'Argenzio Petite Sirah Russian River Valley, Bacigalupi Vineyard

PDF  Tasting Notes

2005 D'Argenzio

Petite Sirah Russian River Valley, Bacigalupi Vineyard

Tasting Notes

Bold and spirited, this Petite Sirah is a hearty red wine lover’s dream. Fragrances of dried rose petals and tobacco swirl around a core of black cherry and anise. Full-bodied on the palate, richly ripened cherries and dates mesh with earthy walnut tones. Hints of espresso, cocoa and cloves complete the tasting experience. These grapes were grown by Bacigalupi Vineyards on river loam soils along the Russian River. Situated in the northern section of the
Russian River Valley, close to Healdsburg, this area is hotter and produces grapes of intense flavor. This Petite Sirah is the wellrecognized old Foppiano clone, first planted over a century ago by the Foppiano family.
Unfiltered and unfined.
