We can imagine few pleasures greater than a traditional Italian meal with family, friends and vineyard workers, paired with one of our own wines. We are pleased to share these favorite recipes with you, from our table to yours.
Mama Rosa's Marinara Sauce
In a pot, sauté lightly:
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/2 cup flat leaf Italian parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 1/2 cup long green onions (Scallions), chopped
- 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 1 tsp. salt
- Pinch of pepper
Add:
- 18oz. water
- 6oz. tomato paste
- 15oz. tomato sauce
- 32oz. crushed tomatoes
Simmer for 50-60 minutes
Choose any unseasoned dry pasta for equally good results with this recipe. Our personal favorite is linguine. In a separate pot, bring pasta to a boil, drain, add sauce and top with shaved fresh Parmesan cheese.

Our D'Argenzio Russian River Zinfandel is a perfect compliment to this dish.
