John Pita – Click Here to Listen Now – Pop/Jazz/Funk – The John Pita Band began some years ago in Dallas as a sort of pet project among friends. The band found popularity and quite the following among college friends and the community alike. While playing small venues within the city satisfied the band at the time it couldn’t last forever. Since those days, founder John Pita has moved to California, and started a new chapter in his life. For any follower of his music the transition is apparent. Pita’s original tracks from previous CD include swooning lyrics and deep jazz tones with a reverberating saxophone on almost every track. However, with new band members, and a new life (Pita is now enjoying marriage and has recently celebrated the arrival of his first child) John’s new songs bring rejuvenation to the term “feel good music”. The lyrics are brighter, the music is lighter, and for any fan of the band, there is the classic raspy John Pita with adoring lines and raw emotion. The new release from John Pita deserves nothing less than resounding praise from old and new fans alike.
